Description
Great, comical WWII United States Army souvenir pillowcase. The center of the silk pillowcase shows a grizzly bear standing on the surface of a globe and is hurling bombs and artillery by hand upon a section of the globe that shows Japan and the Japanese flag. A yellow scroll or banner along the bottom reads: "U.S. ARMY ALASKA" in red lettering. The outer edge features red fringe and woven blue ribbon detail, the image of the bear is flocked, as is the red details of the area of Japan, and the yellow and red banner along the bottom; the remaining details are painted.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine&emdash;Excellent): The pillow case shows moderate wear, small spots of discoloration or soiling, much of the painted and flocked felt details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
