Description
This is a great World War II United States Army Tank Destroyer souvenir pillowcase from Camp Hood, Texas. Camp Hood, now Fort Hood, was established in 1942 as an armored training facility. The pillowcase is in blue silk with a golden fringe and has some black, red and orange velvet details, such as the lettering, the small action vignettes and the panther crushing a tank in its jaws insignia.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 21" in height and 20" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silk, velvet, silk backing.
ATTACHMENT:Flap in back for pillow.
