ARTIFACT:

Great WWII Submarine Base, New London Ditty Bag in mint, unwashed condition. Great graphics, suitable for framing. The bag features two blue has a drawstring and the center reads: "SUB BASE NEW LONDON, CONN." with an image of Submarine Officer Dolphins badge in the center. It would have been used for laundry or other miscellaneous personal items. This is only the second one I've seen and in the nicest condition.

VINTAGE:

Circa WWII.

SIZE:

Approximately 26" x 16-1/2".

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Heavy, painted canvas, brass grommets, nylon drawstring.

ATTACHMENT:

Drawstring.
