ARTIFACT:
Rare, WWII Luftwaffe parachute and bag in excellent condition as used by the Fallschirmjager (Paratrooper Infantry). The bag features metal buttons to the lid reading 'ZIEH HIER'. The parachute is silk and features a white, heavy web harness, numbers "1-24" mark each connection of the harness to the chute. The carrying case is heavy olive canvas with metal snap closures and heavy canvas handles. The chute is also marked: "BA 2949" in light brown on the body of the parachute.

The bag measures approximately 22" x 15"
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Silk, canvas, cotton, nylon, steel.
ATTACHMENT:
Seven snap enclosures
MARKINGS:
"ZIEH HIER" on snaps and "BA 2949", as well as numbers 1-24 on chute.

CONDITION:
8+ (Excellent): The carrying bag has hole on one side (see photo), snaps on bag are show light oxidation. The silk parachute and webbing are in excellent condition.
