Great WWII era (Jon 47) Portrait Photo of United States Navy Lieutenant Commander wearing the short-lived Naval Aviation Observer (Navigation) Wing (also called the USN Navigator Wing) in rarely-seen bullion. Identified on reverse only as "Jack", this officer is wearing WWII combat ribbons and the rank of Lieutenant Commander. The photo inscription on the reverse reads: "Jan. 20, 1949 This is Jack! Now you can see why I waited! Yes?
