This is a great World War II 4th War Loan badge for the Bethlehem Steel Company's shipyard in Hingham, Massachusetts. The yard operated for five years beginning in 1940. This badge reads WE BOUGHT HELLCATS TO RID THE WORLD OF RATS.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Celluloid-wrapped tin.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:6- (Fine): The badge has heavy foxing tot he celluloid and areas of oxidation on reverse.
