ARTIFACT:

This is a great WWI Era Maryland Ship Building Company Guard hat badge. The copper badge features a nicely detailed eagle perched at the top of the badge. The center of the badge depicts an embossed, nicely detailed ship sailing with smoke rising from its stack. The badge reads: "M. S. B. CO. GUARD".

VINTAGE:

Circa WWI Era.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-1/4" in height x 1-5/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Copper.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with disc backing.
