This is a World War I War Worker award badge for ship building. A bar at the top of the badge reads WAR WORKER, and the medallion reads E. PLURBUS UNUM and SHIP BUILDING and shows a man at a forge and an eagle grasping arrows.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 1-5/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Bronze.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with safety catch on bar and two suspension rings.
MARKINGS:GORHAM CO.
