Description
Great War of 1812 United States Militia Cartridge box in leather and wood. This example features debossed linear embellishments on the leather lid/flap and the wooden insert holds 24 cartridges. The multi-piece leather shows hand-sewn details and attachment of leather to the wood insert was done with nails.

CONDITION:5- (Very Good+): The cartridge box shows moderate to heavy wear, a tear in the leather on one side, leather is brittle and much of the leather remains intact, wood insert is in fine condition.
