This is a jacket patch for the United States Navy bomber squadron VB-Originally the VB-4 in 1939, the squadron changed to the VS-41 and VB-41 before changing back to the VB-This squadron served on the USS Ranger and USS Essex as well as the USS Bunker Hill during World War II. The patch shows a jauntily tipped top hat.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:5-1/4" diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:White felt patch embroidered in black and white cotton threads and chenille with muslin backing.

CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): Patch has some small spots where felt is gone and very slight discoloration.
