ARTIFACT:

This is a Great Old 1880's Grannan Detective Bureau Company Private Investigator Badge from Cincinnati Ohio.

Although the Bureau's home base was in Ohio, they were active all over the country, including the Wild West, much like their rival the Pinkerton Agency. 

VINTAGE:

1880's.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-3/8" in height x 1-15/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-plated nickel with painted lettering.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical safety-style pin.

MARKINGS:

"THIS BADGE IS NOT SOLD TO ANY ONE"
