This is a great late World War II British No. 3 Commando Brigade shoulder flash. This unit was made up of both Army and Royal Marine Commandos, and saw service during the Burma Campaign. The flash is a black wool arc embroidered in red thread.
VINTAGE:Circa late World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 7/8" in height and 4-1/16" in length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool felt embroidered in cotton/silk thread, mesh backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The flash has only light wear.
