This is a Great LARGE Old West 1870’s “Stock” 5-point Star Police Badge – Possibly used by Indian Police. Made by TOWER & LYON.

Tower & Lyon was a prominent 19th- and early 20th-century hardware manufacturer and police equipment supplier in New York City, though historical trade directories and catalogs actually locate their primary business address at 95 Chambers Street (and later 89 Chambers Street) rather than 35 Chambers Street.

1870s.

Approximately 2-13/16" in height x 2-3/4" in width

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-Plated Nickel.
