ARTIFACT: Great, large 1890's – 1900's "Stock" Old West Police five point, ball-tipped badge. The nickel plated nickel badge reads: "POLICE" in the center and shows nice detail along the outer edge.
These badges came out of an old collection put together by a collector from Kansas, now deceased. As the bulk of his collection was Kansas and Colorado, it can be safely assumed that these badges were indeed worn in the Old West of their particular vintage, although I do not know exactly where any were used or collected.

VINTAGE: Circa 1890's – 1900's

SIZE: Approximately 2-5/8" x 2-5/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel plated nickel

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with drop in locking catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MAEJX15 LGGEX12/15 SGGEX1/16

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine—Very Fine): The badge shows moderate to heavy surface wear, some of the plating details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
