ARTIFACT: This is a great circa 1946 1st Issue Zantop Flying Service pilot wing. The wing shows a federal shield at center with a wreathed "Z" above: it is basically a USAF Command Pilot wing with a Z in the place of the star. The smaller all-black centered cap badge we have listed separately (please see below link for information) is for Zantop International Airlines, which formed in 1962. That cap badge would be the 2nd issue for that company name.

VINTAGE: Circa 1946.

SIZE: About 1-5/16" in height and 3" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: JMF 1955 scratched into reverse of wing.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an airline collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VFEX08 LEGEX4/10 SDEJX7/12

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The wing shows medium wear and tarnishing.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
