ARTIFACT:

1944 dated USAAF souvenir flying scarf made of parachute silk, hand sewn on the Isle of Capri. The scarf features the 460th Bomb Group's prowling black panther insignia, constructed of silk thread and the flyers name, William A. Ingram. The 490th was part of the 15th Air Force and flew B-24 Liberators.

VINTAGE: Circa 1942's.

SIZE: Approximately 46" x 11(Tigersight),18"(signature sight)

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Parachute silk and embroidered in silk thread
