ARTIFACT: This is a great old circa 1950s advertising thermometer for Ox Head Stock Ale. Ox Head was made by the Standard-Rochester Brewing Company of Rochester, New York. The thermometer has a dial-style thermometer at its center and bears the beer's slogan: "The Aristocrat of Fine Ales".

VINTAGE: Circa 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 9-5/8" in height and 6-5/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated and painted brass, plastic, paperboard/cardboard.

ATTACHMENT: Hanging S-hook, twine.

MARKINGS: PERMANENT SIGN AND DISPLAY CO., INC. READING PA at bottom reverse of frame; OH-45 on front.
