ARTIFACT: This is a nice 1930s Pan Am "Clipper" pin with excellently preserved red painted details on its wings and body. The "Clipper" style plane was popular in the 1930s and the crews even dressed in navy-like garb to bestow a feeling of safety in the passengers, who believed they were traveling in an airborne version of an ocean liner.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 1" in height and 2-5/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass with painted areas.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with safety-style catch.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an airline company collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. RAEL2/94 LAGEX12/10

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The pin shows very light wear and tarnish only.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
