Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a great circa 1930s Deputy Inspector badge for the New Mexico Cattle Sanitary Board. Part of the Livestock Board, the oldest law enforcement agency in New Mexico, the Cattle Sanitary Board predated the 1912 statehood of New Mexico itself. The copper-plated badge is shield-shaped with a very detailed eagle at the top.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-1/8" in height and 1-5/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Copper-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical kick pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
