ARTIFACT: This is a great 1923 celluloid pin advertising a Haverhill, Massachusetts military demonstration at which a biplane was featured. The pin lists the dates of the demonstration, November 12-14, and shows two armed soldiers ducking some bursting bombs.

VINTAGE: Circa 1923.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/4" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Celluloid-wrapped tin with brass pin and paper backing.

ATTACHMENT: Straight pin.

MARKINGS: THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. BUTTONS, BADGES, NOVELTIES AND SIGNS NEWARK, N.J. with union mark stamp.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a location collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAEL4/00 LFJX3/11

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows very light wear and a couple of very small spots of oxidation on reverse.
