Great 1920's South Gate, California Police Captain Badge by L.A. Rubber Stamp Co.

This is a great circa 1920s police captain badge from South Gate, California. This badge may possibly be an example of the department's first issue. There are two silver stars affixed beneath the city seal. The badge is by the Los Angeles Rubber Stamp Company, and is maker-marked on reverse.

Circa 1920s.

Approximately 2-1/2" in height and 1-3/4" in width.

Gilt brass, plated brass, enamel.

Vertical kick pin with forked locking catch.
