This is a great circa 1920s police whistle made of brass encapsulated in cream and tiger eye colored celluloid. The whistle still has its original steel chain and still works.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s.
SIZE:Whistle: approximately 2-3/8" by 1-1/4" by 15/16"; chain is about 14-1/18" in total length (including hook).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brass encapsulated in celluloid, steel chain.
ATTACHMENT:Chain, hook, ring.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from an early police and law enforcement gear collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. SHOP MAJX13 L/SEEX12/13
CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The whistle has some areas of light wear and some oxidation to the chain.
