Description
Great 1920's - 1930's Adams County, Colorado Deputy Sheriff badge named to H.E. Jobes. The center of the badge is slightly convex and features a brass disc showing State Seal of Colorado in nice, intricate detail. Surrounding the center the badge reads: "DEPUTY SHERIFF ADAMS COUNTY" in blackened, stamped lettering. The top of the badge features an eagle, wings spread and head bowed carrying a banner or scroll in its beak that reads: "H. E. JOBES".
These badges came out of an old collection put together by a collector from Kansas, now deceased. As the bulk of his collection was Kansas and Colorado, it can be safely assumed that these badges were indeed worn in the Old West of their particular vintage, although I do not know exactly where any were used or collected.
