ARTIFACT:
Great 1910's Gulf gasoline gauge for Ford Model T automobiles. The wooden gauge reads: "There IS MORE POWER IN "THAT GOOD GULF GASOLINE", "SUPREME AUTO OIL LEAVES LESS CARBON", "MANUFACTURED BY GULF REFINING CO. PITTSBURGH, PA. The gauge side shows four columns of measurement, "GALLONS IN ROUND TANKS", "GALLONS IN OVAL TANKS", "GALLONS IN SQUARE TANKS", "INCHES FOR OTHER CARS". The top edge of the gauge has a hole for hanging and just below it reads: "GASOLINE GAUGE FOR FORD CARS - Arthur Von Sanden Pittsburgh, PA".
