ARTIFACT:
Great 1890’s – 1900’s German 1 liter, lidded stein from the Brauerei zum Munchner Kindl. The lid features a block letter: “M” and elven-like creature in nicely raised detail and surrounding it reads: “BRAUEREI ZUM MUENCHNER KINDL”. The center of the stein shows a brightly dressed beer maiden balancing on a wooden barrel rolling in the water, her hands full of foaming pints and surrounding her reads: “BRAUEREI ZUM MUENCHNER KINDL”. Along the top of the stein it shows: “1L”

Circa 1890’s – 1900’s
SIZE:
Approximately 9” x 3-3/8” (4” bottom diameter); Lid: 3-5/8” in diameter
CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS:
Stoneware, pewter, paint

Handle, hinged lid

“1L” along top, “2” on bottom

CONDITION:
8 (Excellent-): The stein shows minor to moderate wear, much of the painted details remain intact, pewter shows moderate age wear, overall excellent condition.
