ARTIFACT:
Great 1860's - 1870's German 1 liter, lidded stein from the Lowenbrau Keller in Munich. The lid features a griffin-like creature in nicely raised detail and surrounding it reads: AKTIEN BRAUEREI ZUM LOWENBRAU MUNCHEN. The stein reads: LOWENBRAUKELLER MUNCHEN NO. 26714 in blue painted detail. Along the top of the stein it shows: 1L

Approximately 8-5/8 x 3-3/8 (4 bottom diameter); Lid: 3-5/8 in diameter

Stoneware, pewter, paint

CONDITION:
8+ (Excellent): The stein shows minor to moderate wear, the handle shows a production flaw, pewter shows handsome color, overall excellent condition.
