This is a gorgeous and near mint Model 1935 visor hat badge for the Fascist Youth (or GIL: Giuventu Italiana del Littorio) Pre-Avieri (pre-Air Force cadet). The GIL began in 1926 as the ONB (Opera Nazionale Balilla) and was renamed in 193The badge is a large winged fasces in gold bullion. Stunning!
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s or 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/8" in height and 4-3/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool felt embroidered in bullion and silk/cotton threads, muslin backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
