ARTIFACT:
This is a gorgeous circa late 1930s Eastern Air Lines agent badge 5th issue, Type I. It is beautifully enameled in two shades of blue as well as red, and shows the Eastern red bird logo. The badge is slightly curved and was made by Appel of New York.
VINTAGE:
Circa late 1930s.
SIZE:
Approximately 3/4" in height and 2-3/4" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Plated brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:
Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:
APPEL NEW YORK.
