Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a Gorgeous, Engraved, World War I United State Navy Pilot Wing of Naval Aviator # 1141 Alton L. Kolpien, in Gilt Bronze.


The wing is VERY similar to a BB&B Bailey Banks & Biddle wing, but has some subtle differences. Not the least of which is the fact that it is actually about 2 mm LONGER than a BB&B. 

There is a light hand burnishing on the upper edge of the wing and on the high points of the feathers, which really makes it sparkle. In many ways the wing is a bit more attractive than a BB&B example! 

VINTAGE:

World War I.

SIZE:

Approximately 13/16" in height x 2-13/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt Bronze.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with come-under locking catch.
