Description
This is a Fort Garry Horse cap badge and pair of shoulder titles. The badge is a very detailed maple leaf, bearing a castle entranceway at center and reading FORT GARRY HORSE. Each shoulder title reads FGH CANADA. Fort Garry is in present-day Winnipeg, Manitoba and has the distinction of being the oldest still-standing stone fort in North America. Fort Garry Horse was a regiment established in 1913.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I or just prior.
SIZE:Badge has roughly 1-3/4" height and 1-3/4" width and each shoulder title is 15/16" in height and 1-5/8" wide.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Copper and silver-plated brass badge and plated brass shoulder titles.
ATTACHMENT:Each piece has two loops and a bobby pin.
