Description
This is a fabulous engraved World War II United States Women Air Force Service Pilots (WASP) pilot wing in sterling by Josten. The wing is a diamond flanked by a pair of spread wings, and is dated May 20, 1944 on reverse, or three days before the actual class 44-4 graduation.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 13/16" in height and 2-13/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:JOSTEN STERLING and WASP 5-20-44.
