ARTIFACT: This is a fabulous period Napoleonic snuff box made of burl wood and tortoise shell. The box is a beautiful reddish-brown with a curved lip and the Napoleonic coat of arms in relief at its center. The interior is beautifully lined with tortoise shell.

VINTAGE: Circa 1800-1815.

SIZE: Approximately 3-5/16" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Burl wood case and tortoise shell interior.

ATTACHMENT: Lid and box fit together.

MARKINGS: N/A.
