ARTIFACT: This is a fabulous, heavy and huge Western Airlines plaque in bronze with a lovely patination. Reportedly these plaques were given to high-ranking company employees upon their retirement. The plaque has a three-dimensional Indian head design against a textured arrowhead, and an arrow that extends in both directions past the edges of the plaque. The plaque is numbered on reverse, and has a blank space on the front for engraving. This plaque weighs fourteen pounds, and the expensive cost of shipping it is reflected in the item price.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1950s - early 1960s.

SIZE: Approximately 16-1/2" in width and 13" in height and 1-1/4" in depth.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Bronze.

ATTACHMENT: None; raised strip on reverse, perhaps for stabilization against mantel or other shelf.

MARKINGS: 102 295.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an airline collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VAJJX12 LCIEX12/12 SeDIJX2/15

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The plaque has some small areas of light wear and a lovely patination.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
