Fabulous, Huge 1930s Baltimore & Ohio Railroad (B&O RR) Bronze Engine Nose Plaque

This is a fabulous, heavy and huge circa 1930s engine nose plaque for the Baltimore & Ohio (B&O) Railroad. Started in 1830, the B&O was an effort by the port city of Baltimore to open up routes to the west rivaling the Erie Canal. The B&O eventually also ran from Baltimore to Washington, D.C. The plaque is in black and gold painted bronze and shows the dome of the United States Capitol in relief.

Circa 1930s.

Approximately 16" in diameter and ¼" in thickness.
