Description

ARTIFACT:

Extremely scarce WWII Turkish Air Force Field Made Combat Crew / Air Force Member Badge. This example is gilt brass and hollow, two-piece construction. The badge is the shape of a soaring eagle with a crescent moon and star above. This appears to have been an unofficial badge used in the North African theater, and there is photographic evidence of its usage that exists

Circa WWII

SIZE:

Approximately 3-1/4" in length x 1-7/8" in height.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt brass, hollow, two-piece construction.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal wire T pin with &C type catch.

None.

CONDITION:

8+ (Excellent): The pilot badge shows minor to moderate wear, light spot of verdigris, much of the plating details remain, overall excellent condition.
