Description
Extremely rare WWII Stalag Luft 1 Camp-made POW wing. This example was made by an Allied airman Prisoner of War at Stalag-Luft 1, a Nazi Prison Camp in Barth, Germany. The wing was cast in lead from cigarette and gum packaging. A shield shape in the center reads: "POW STALAG LUFT 1" in the center with a parachute above and centered within nicely detailed wings.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Lead cast from cigarette and gum packaging.
ATTACHMENT:Two loops/lugs with retaining pin.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The wing shows moderate wear, light verdigris on pin, overall handsome patina.
