This is an Extremely Rare WWI ARC American Red Cross Canteen Band Portland Oregon Hat Badge.

AKA The Multnomah Guard Band. The Multnomah Guard Band was the official American Red Cross Canteen Band of Portland, Oregon, formed during World War I. Functioning as a major community and morale-boosting ensemble, the band played local events and parades in the Portland area to support the war effort and sell Liberty Bonds

World War I.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-5/8” in height x 2-1/8” in with.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-Plated brass with hard-fired white and red enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with disk backing.
