Description
This is an extremely rare circa 1930s Prfecture de Police badge, and is numbered on reverse. The Prfecture de Police is the law enforcement body for Paris, France, which is supplied directly from the national government, as has been the case since Napoleon. The badge is beautifully enameled, and bears the Parisian coat of arms at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/16" in height and 1-3/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety pin.
