ARTIFACT: This is an extremely rare, limited edition, numbered and confidential "Handbook on Aircraft Armament" from World War I. It was published by the Government Printing Office in 1918. This volume is profusely historical with many pictures and some fold-out illustrations, such as the one shown above of the Lewis machine gun Model 1918. The frontspiece has a nice color rondelle. This book has extremely rugged board covers with heavy cotton duck fabric: it was built for use.

VINTAGE: Circa World War I.

SIZE: 96 pages; approximately 8-1/2"e; in height and 5-7/8" in width and 9/16" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Extremely rugged board covers with heavy cotton duck fabric, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Glued binding.

MARKINGS: Numbered 3188; Bureau of Aircraft Production Air Service, U.S. Army August, 1918 Washington Government Printing Office 1918.

CONDITION: 6 (Fine+): The cover is well-worn and soiled, but binding is tight and secure. Internally book is in great condition.
