Description

ARTIFACT:

This is an extremely rare French-made World War I United States Army Railway Artillery Reserve (RAR) shoulder patch. The patch is in a "coffin" shape variation and shows a machine-embroidered mythical pelican-like "Oozlefinch" mascot standing on a rail.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War I.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-15/16" in height and 2-3/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool felt with machine embroidery in cotton/silk threads.

None.
