ARTIFACT: Fantastic, extremely rare early 1930's Radio City Music Hall Usher hat badge in high deco design. The badge is round and reads: "RADIO CITY" in black enamel and "MUSIC HALL" in red enamel and the outer edge shows nice wreath embellishment. Radio City Music Hall is located inside Rockefeller Center, a 12-acre complex in Manhattan and was built by architect Edward Durell Stone on land leased from Columbia University and the interior was designed by Donald Deskey in the Art Deco style. Radio City opened in 1932 and has been the stage for many historical performances and events, this hat badge is a wonderful piece of New York History!

VINTAGE: Circa 1930's

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/2" in diameter

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Enameled gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT: Single post with screwback and stabilizer pin

ITEM NOTES: This is from a music and entertainment collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBEX16 LDGEX8/16
