ARTIFACT:
Extremely Rare, Duty worn, Captain & Higher Officer Visor Hat of the New Hampshire Highway Patrol. This short-lived agency from the early 2000's took over Vehicle Enforcement Laws (trucking) for the state of NH for a short period, and never was manned by more than 25 or so Troopers and Officers. The cap features a Blackinton hat badge with an enamel center that depicts the NH State Seal and reads: "STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE" in nice detail. Above a gilt brass eagle stands, wings spread and the bottom of the badge reads: "HIGHWAY PATROL". The inside of the hat features a vinyl pocket holding a paper tag that reads: "NEW HAMPSHIRE HIGHWAY PATROL" and above the symbol for the Dept. of Safety and reads: "HIGHWAY PATROL DEPARTMENT OF SAFETY NEW HAMPSHIRE DMV'. The maker's tag reads: "MADE BY KEYSTONE UNIFORM CAP CORP. PHILADELPHIA, PA 6 7/8". The patrol hat is wool with black vinyl and gilt brass strap details around the crown, with a vinyl visor and the inside of the cap features a leather headband and silk lining.

8+ (Excellent): The highway patrol cap shows minor to moderate wear, the badge shows minor wear and much of the gilt and enamel details remain intact.
