ARTIFACT: This is an extremely rare circa World War I Belgian Model 1918 Aviation Section pilot wing. The Belgian Air Force was established in 1909, one of the world's earliest. This wing is in plated white metal and has some great raised detailing on the feathers. It shows the cipher of Albert I at its center: an A with its horizontal portion entwined about a Roman numeral I. Albert I ruled Belgium from 1909 until his death in 1934.

VINTAGE: Circa World War I.

SIZE: Approximately 1" in height and 3-1/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated white metal.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal T-style pin with C catch.
