ARTIFACT:

This is an extremely rare (only one of two known) World War II United States Army 14th Air Force 9th Signal Company pin. The pin was made in the China-Burma-India theater and is shaped like a triangle with two thunderbolts and the roman numerals IX on it. This pin was identified by the late Jay Massaro.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

1-1/4" height and 7/8" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-plated brass with yellow, red and blue enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with safety pin-style catch.

ITEM NOTES:

CONDITION:

6 (Fine+): Pin has light wear and tarnish on reverse.
