Description

ARTIFACT:

This is an extremely rare World War II United States Army Air Forces 7th Ferrying Squadron patch from Gore Field, Great Falls, Montana. The 7th ferried planes for the 1941 Lend-Lease Agreement with Russia. The patch is embroidered upon wool felt and shows a red and a white star hovering above a globe with the big dipper and Polaris in the background.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 4-5/8" in height and 4-9/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool felt embroidered in silk and bullion thread, mesh backing.
