ARTIFACT: This is an extremely rare and mint circa 1943 shoulder patch for the United States Army Air Forces 9th Air Force. The patch is British-made and is in the "large shield" variant design.

VINTAGE: Circa 1943.

SIZE: Approximately 3-1/4" in height and 2-7/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool felt embroidered in silk/cotton thread, cloth backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.
