This is an extremely rare American Volunteer Group (AVG, Flying Tigers) full-size enameled badge by Whitehead & Hoag Company of Newark, NJ. These badges only VERY RARELY come onto the open market and even more seldomly with attribution: the badge is attributed to 3rd Squadron Ground Crew Mechanic James Allard of Cambridge, MA. Included with the badge is a small cardboard box and an email message containing some background information on the badge. Full provenance will be provided to the purchaser.

CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): The badge is in nice displayable condition, but shows it's age and the fact that it was worn proudly. Much of the gold finish is worn off the front and there some very small chips in the enamel in various spots. See images for more details.
