ARTIFACT: This is an Extremely Rare 1956 Portsmouth Air Force Base New Hampshire License Plate. Only Existed as this name for a little over a year, Renamed Pease Air Force Base on 7 September.

Portsmouth Air Force Base opened in 1956. In 1957, the base was renamed in honor of New Hampshire native and decorated World War II bomber pilot Captain Harl Pease.

VINTAGE: 1956.

SIZE: Approximately 12" in width x 6" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Painted steel.

ATTACHMENT: Six holes for mounting.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES:  This is from a USAF collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEBX16 LCGEX03/25/21

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The License plate shows moderate wear, and shows rust on mainly on the bottom part.
