This is an original United Kingdom Propaganda Display about the May 7, 1915 sinking of the Cunard Lines R.M.S. Lusitania off Ireland by a German Submarine / U-Boat, The U-20, which includes 2 copies, appearing to be in cast iron, of the satirical German Propaganda Medals produced by the artist Karl Goetz, with a descriptive provocative write-up about the medal, in its original frame.
Circa 1915.
SIZE:Approximately 11-15/16" in height x 14-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Glass, printed paper, cast iron medallions, wood frame, pressed board backing.
ATTACHMENT:Suspension on reverse.
MARKINGS:KoG for Karl Goetz at bottom of the "obverse" medal.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): Piece has been very well preserved with some very slight abrasions to the glass and some moderate wear on reverse.
