Description
This is a circa early World War II enameled shield part of the badge of the 1st Armoured Car Group of the Estonian Defence League Tallinn regional unit. The badge is extremely rare, as only 89 men served in the unit in 193We have included a photo of an example of the entire badge for reference, however, we are selling only the enameled part shown in the main photo (photo credit: GMIC.co.uk). The shield is enameled in a beautiful orange with an eagle at the center clutching a shield bearing three blue lions. The backing bears the maker information for Roman Tavast of Tallinn.
VINTAGE:Circa early World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1" in height and 15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Enameled brass.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with slightly domed disc backing.
MARKINGS:ROMAN TAVAST TALLINN.
